Just because you are playing online bingo, does not mean that you can throw your manners out of the window. Many people think that because they are sitting at home on the computer, they do not have to behave in a polite manner, as they would in person. This is totally wrong of course and there are certain points of etiquette which must be followed when playing online bingo.
Be Respectful
When in an online bingo chat room, it is very important that you should be kind, polite and respectful to your fellow players and the chat moderator. Bad language and name calling will absolutely not be tolerated and you could find yourself banned.
No CAPS
Writing in caps is generally frowned upon online as it is seen as mimicking shouting, which is of course rude and aggressive, but there is another reason to avoid CAPS when in an online bingo room – the chat moderator will often use caps so they can easily be seen when providing information or playing games. If others use CAPS, this information could be lost.
Be Gracious
Of course, we all want to win, but when we don’t we should be gracious about it and thank the person who did win. We should also avoid moaning and complaining about losing. Light-hearted banter is fine but no one likes a sore loser.
