First Movie Set Around A Backgammon Game To Be Filmed

Once Backgammon, the musical opened in Vegas in early January it was only a matter of time before thespians made sure it would become available for all by shooting Backgammon – The Movie.
In Vegas, the set was a mammoth backgammon board and the story was based around a multi million dollar backgammon championship. The twist, however, was that every night, audience members played the game using the cast as the backgammon checker pieces.
The movie will be slightly different but will still feature the original score from the show. Producers were keeping tight lipped about the production but did reveal that the cast would include at least three ‘A’ list Hollywood names. The music for the show was written by well known composer Ben Zona.

The Vegas production was funded by well known media company Laurence Media.
