Crap2Congress.com Educates About the Constitution, Lets Americans Send Message to Congress

Saint Louis, MO (PRWEB) July 15, 2010

Fed up with seeing the United States veer further and further away from its founding principles, a group of concerned Americans has launched a campaign to remind citizens … and Congress … what made the country strong.

The privately-funded group has launched a website, http://www.Crap2Congress.com, to educate and inform Americans about the Constitution and their representatives they voted to uphold its principles. Not affiliated with any political party, group members consider themselves Constitutionalists, their name for believers in the U.S. Constitution.

The group promotes three basic concepts in supporting its campaign:

    Limited government
Limited terms in office for politicians
    Limited federal spending

The website contains pages of facts and figures about members of Congress, including their voting record and the size of their staff payroll. The staff payroll, for example, has swelled significantly in recent decades. Spokesman Martin Branch calls this, “Evidence that members of Congress need a lesson in budgetary responsibility for their own offices. “

The site also allows visitors to express their feelings by sending their lawmakers two items: 1) A letter expressing their discontent; and 2) A plastic, non-toxic replica of a small pile of excrement. “Our goal is for Congress to hear the frustrations of the American people when their own load begins to pile up on their desks in Washington,” Branch explained.
