Breaking News:

How many vacations does Obama need?

by Al S. 27. July 2010 07:36

In these tough Obamanonic times, people are opting for shorter vacations or even ‘staycations’ in which they travel locally around their state and enjoy the sites. But our illustrious potentate seems to be doing quite well these days on the taxpayer’s dime! It seems that he has added to his addictions. First, there was smoking, then Kobe beef, and now free vacations!

obamagolf

On July 16-18, the Obama's went on their first taxpayer funded adventure by visiting beautiful Bar Harbor, Maine. The idyllic town has long been favorite summer getaway for the rich and powerful going back to the Gilded Age. Of course, they pinched every penny and made sure that the trip was as cost effective as possible by not wasting additional fuel in carrying their 16 pound dog on the same plane, so they opted to fly the dog out on it’s own airplane (this is not a joke… as much as I wish it were).

The Obama’s will then return for a grueling 2 weeks in Washington, D.C.. After which time, Michelle Obama (Left Tackle, Ohio State) is taking her oldest daughter and several family friends on a "private vacation" to Spain, August 4-8. They will be staying at a cost-conscious La Quinta Inn… Wait, sorry, they're staying at Villa Padierna. I’m sure the American taxpayer will rest easy knowing that they are fiscally responsible enough to suffer through the woeful accommodations. Barack will stay back as his busy schedule of attending parties thrown in his honor by one of his billionaire friends is a task that is just too important not to miss. After all, Americans demand he receive the finest fare to relax him from the burdens he inherited from George Bush.

After that vacation, Michelle Obama (Wide Receiver, Notre Dame) will be forced to suffer the humiliation of staying in the ill-furnished White House for 5 grueling days. It will be a horrible burden to the family. But fear not, wealthy taxpayer, our overworked Teleprompter in Chief will escort the royal family on yet another vacation, Aug. 14-15, to Florida's Gulf Coast. Of course this is of his own free will and has nothing to do with our magnanimous leader’s hypocrisy for telling us to vacation on the Gulf Coast while he himself vacations in Maine. Thank God there is so much surplus money in the government coffers that we can send our glorious King on excursions and journeys that will hopefully ease his tremendous workload.

NASA’s new mission: Improve Muslim relations!

by Al S. 6. July 2010 04:54

I thought this was an April fool’s joke, but then I realized it’s July.

infidel1 NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said in a recent interview that his "foremost" mission as the head of America's space exploration agency is to improve relations with the Muslim world.

Though international diplomacy would seem well outside NASA's orbit, Bolden said in an interview with Al Jazeera that strengthening those ties was among the top tasks President Obama assigned him. He said better interaction with the Muslim world would ultimately advance space travel.

"When I became the NASA administrator -- or before I became the NASA administrator -- he charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science ... and math and engineering," Bolden said in the interview.

Doesn’t NASA have bigger problems like finding a replacement for the Shuttle fleet? Oh, wait… Obama cancelled funding for that. Well, I guess NASA’s got nothing better to do but act like a bunch of touchy – feely do-gooders. Maybe NASA will help the religion of peace build their first shuttle and they will use it for purely humanitarian reasons!

The myth of corporate profit

by Al S. 5. July 2010 03:23

The second half of this year will see something surprising happen in the businesses world and Wall Street... Companies will start showing a profit where none was expected, and this time, Obama can blame it on Bush.

obama-urkle With the Bush tax cuts expiring on January 1st, 2011, tens of millions of Americans (not just the ones that make over $250k) and thousands of corporations will see their tax situation change for the worse. The Bush tax cut expiration will affect everyone:
* The 10% bracket rises to an expanded 15%
* The 25% bracket rises to 28%
* The 28% bracket rises to 31%
* The 33% bracket rises to 36%
* The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%
* The “marriage penalty” (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return from the first dollar of income. The child tax credit will be cut in half from $1000 to $500 per child.
* The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 20 percent in 2011. The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6 percent in 2011. These rates will rise another 3.8 percent in 2013.
* There are over 20 new or higher taxes as a result of Obamacare.
And the main reason for the post:
* There are literally scores of tax hikes on business that will take place. The biggest is the loss of the “research and experimentation tax credit.”

What this means, from a business perspective, is that corporations will be scrambling this year to reassign, post, and report any and all profit so as to pay at the lower 2010 levels. There will be buybacks, buyouts, depreciation schedule changes, etc., all designed to place any and all forthcoming profit into the 2010 business friendly time-line.

Ocare2This will eventually place a false sense of "See, Obama's economic plan is working," among the lemmings who don't know any better. I'm sure Obama will waste no time in taking full credit for the increased profit that American companies will be reporting at the end of the year. Wall Street may see a bit of a jump as well when uninformed investors begin to pile on the profit bandwagon a day late and a dollar short (literally). Now, if your smart, you'll get in now with some handsome Mar - May 2011 call options on your favorite fortune 500 so you can sell them to unsuspecting dupes later this year when the inflated quarterly and yearly numbers are reported (for companies who adhere to a traditional calendar fiscal year).

You will need the cash, because eventually the reality of the situation will set in and people (including "government experts") will begin to see that the companies they thought were soaring are starting to report losses or see mediocre, if any, profits on the horizon. This will lead to a second and more serious recession than our previous one. I'm sure the State controlled media will turn this into another poster boy for Obama's Wall Street takeover attempts, stating that the evil that powers free enterprise is responsible for this latest fiasco and the only way to guarantee it remains fair is to put it in government hands.

So, for all you lib's out there, let me ask you this... What happened to Obama's pledge that no one making under $250k / yr would see a tax increase? And don't throw out that BS about how these are Bush's cuts which he made sure would expire under someone else's watch! Mmmm, no! Our teleprompter in chief could easily extend them, he simply chooses not to.

BTW: I posted a copy of all of the tax increases you fine upstanding citizens will be paying in 2011 and beyond. You can find it here!

Jon Kyl says Obama doesn’t support Arizona because there is no payback

by Al S. 21. June 2010 03:19

Just when I thought that this administration couldn’t get any more unbelievable, I heard this on Jim Sharpe’s show on KFYI this morning and had to share. It seems that Obama doesn’t want to support Arizona’s efforts in battling illegal immigration because then there will be no reason for people to support his immigration reform (amnesty) bill, which has yet to be seen.

This apparent shakedown of a GOP Senator seems to be par for the course (insert Obama golf joke here) when it comes to his style of ‘leadership’. The shakedown of BP, the promising of high office if certain Democrats drop out of races, and now the threat of non-support unless the great potentate gets support for his yet to be revealed amnesty plan, is just another notch in the counter of thug-like operations from what was promised to be the most ethical, open, and transparent administration in history!

Obama’s BP oil spill solution

by Al S. 14. June 2010 05:43

obama-bpsmallIt’s been 2 months and I guess the anointed one has finally cleared time from his schedule to meet with BP executives. I figure that 2 months of an oil spill is finally sinking in with this rudderless administration and they are finally trying to show leadership… Although I’ve seen better leadership in a flock of lemmings.

On Tuesday, our glorious potentate will grace us with his teleprompter skills and enlighten us all to his grand plan for dealing with the oil spill in the Gulf. My guess is that 99% of it will simply be monetary demands to BP and very little to do with actual measurable and demonstrable results.

Once again, I think it’s great that we have such a glorified and experienced leader that takes immediate 8 week action on a catastrophe this nation hasn’t seen before. God forbid this had been an actual emergency, this country could be in flames and on the brink of total collapse before this empty suit put down his Kobe beef and responded.

Look for Obama’s next televised event where he will outline his plan for dealing with the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004… Which by the way was Bush’s fault.

Plug the damn hole! What a great strategy

by Al S. 4. June 2010 18:33

plugholeI’ve been worried for the last several weeks about this oil spill in the Gulf. I kept thinking to myself “where is Obama and why isn’t he doing anything to help?” Well, finally my prayers were answered. What the heck were we worried about? Just last week our benevolent potentate stomped his foot and read the teleprompter like no other leader in modern times, demanding that they "PLUG THE DAMN HOLE!"

I mean, what more steadfast, decisive, and stalwart leadership do you want from this man? His demand will go down  in history as one of the finest presidential speech lines ever uttered. A phrase that moved, comforted, and motivated an entire nation that ranks right up there with "The only thing we have to fear..." and "Ask not what your country can do for you..."

Decades from now our great grandchildren will be learning of the “Great Uniter” who stopped the oceans rise and healed the earth... and with the breath from his mighty bosom summoned his Godlike powers and capped the oil spill.

Oh... he also sent a throng of lawyers down to the Gulf. I guess they're experts in deep water salvage operations or something. But what do I know, I didn't go to Harvard.

Hope, Change, and “plug the damn hole” aren’t strategies, ideas, or plans, Barry. The only hole that needs plugging is yours. Maybe that will stop you for apologizing for the evils of America to leaders of countries whose foreign policies are leaps and bounds more despicable than anything we’ve mustered.

Make that one thousand and TWO uses for Duct Tape!

Obama fiddles while Rome burns

by Al S. 3. June 2010 18:13

My oh my, how the words and actions of the Left have come back to haunt them. For eight years we put up with their whining, their crying, and their complaining about George W. Bush’s handling of certain key situations like hurricane Katrina and 9/11. We were promised by our common-sense challenged colleagues that the anointed one has been gifted to mankind to ensure the oceans turned back and that the earth would begin to heal.

obamafishingSadly, in the 17 months since America’s mistake took office, we have been shown again and again that elections do, in fact, have consequences. Abysmal and rudderless leadership oozes from the White House. Examples of this are present in his (mis)handling of such important issues as the floods in Tennessee, the BP oil spill, illegal immigration, high unemployment, North Korean aggression, a nearly bankrupt Europe, Iran’s nukes, and a diplomatic crisis after Israel’s commando raid on an aid flotilla.

What has Barry been doing this whole time? Well, just last night he devoted an entire evening to brainstorming the problems with our unemploym… no wait… he was having yet another Wednesday night hoedown at the White house with Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. And let’s not forget his favorite Wednesday dish, Kobe beef! At least someone’s eating good during this Obamaconomy! Speaking of that, where the hell’s my Domino’s pizza and crazy bread? 30 minutes or less my eye!

Every time I see one of the disastrous examples of how his poor leadership only puts us at greater risk, I find myself looking back and wondering “what if it were GW that did that? The Left would be foaming at the mouth calling for his dismissal.” It’s amazing to me what passes as ‘leadership’ to 44% of the US population. I guess that having Barry eating well, playing golf, schmoozing with celebrities, and vacationing means he’s not in Washington doing further damage to our great country!

Obama signs Press Freedom Act, then refuses to take questions

by Al S. 17. May 2010 05:41

Man, this is almost too easy. The blatant hypocrisy of this administration has reached laughable proportions, and two recent events bring it right out in the open.

barryxbox Last week, America’s mistake lamented the era of iPads and Xboxes had turned information into a diversion that was imposing new strains on democracy.

"You're coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don't always rank that high on the truth meter," he told the students. "And with iPods and iPads, and Xboxes and PlayStations -- none of which I know how to work -- information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation. So all of this is not only putting pressure on you; it's putting new pressure on our country and on our democracy."

For an administration that exploited the media for the last couple of years, this sudden proclamation seems to want to shut them up after the propaganda has been delivered. Does Obama think the Internet has only been around during his administration? How interesting that it’s a fantastic tool for spreading the administrations lies and distortions, but when it starts to catch on and highlight the gross incompetence and outright misleading practices of this regime, suddenly it’s a distraction and should not be taken seriously?

Based on the quote above, we are supposed to believe that Barry is either a moron, or just plain lying. My vote is for the latter. He’s in love with his Blackberry almost as much as he is with himself, and we’re supposed to believe he doesn’t know how to use an iPod or an XBox?

Today, the Teleprompter in Chief signed the Freedom of Press Act. The law requires the State Department to list countries that threaten press freedoms and permit violence against journalists. It "puts us clearly on the side of journalistic freedom," Obama said.

Chip Reid of CBS news then tried to ask, “Speaking of press freedoms,” then proceeded to ask about the gulf oil spill, Obama responded “You are free to ask them,” Obama said. "I'm not doing a press conference today."

If you think health care is expensive now, wait until it’s FREE!

by Al S. 24. March 2010 18:26

It took a lot of lies, deception, and crooked backroom dealings, but the trustworthy and forthright Democrats have forced the Health care destruction bill down our throats… for now. Let’s hope the numerous lawsuits, challenges, and 2010 elections will eradicate this cancer from our nation and it’s people. That would be the greatest health care gift.

I’m going to quote from a couple of sources here so that I don’t just simply end up stealing their words. The first is from liberalwhoppers.com posted last Friday. It outlines how the “ever so honest” Dems were able to fudge the numbers on the CBO report. Their goal was to provide any smoke and mirrors that would make this monstrosity obamacare2 come in under $1 Trillion for the first ten years. Well, here’s the lies that show how they did it:

The ‘manipulations’ that I highlighted, along with those I didn’t, might be the greatest scam or fraud ever perpetrated on American citizens in our countries history.

The two manipulations that I focused on were the ten years of tax revenue vs. only six years of Obamacare expenses, and Pelosi and Reid blocking all attempts to pass the Medicare ‘doctors fix’, until after the CBO scored the reconciliation bill and Obamacare is passed.

Unfortunately, with CBS and other news agencies touting the “CBO certified” numbers and trumpeting how Obamacare will reduce the deficit, many Americans don’t understand the true cost or that the CBO summary numbers are meaningless, because of the manipulative limitations that the Democrats required the CBO to follow.

The Weekly Standard followed with an actual breakdown of the abysmal finances:

For a variety of reasons, this tally doesn’t remotely reflect the bill’s real ten-year costs.  First, it includes 2010 as the initial year.  As most people are well aware, 2010 has now been underway for some time.  Therefore, the CBO would normally count 2011 as the first year of its analysis, just as it counted 2010 as the first year when analyzing the initial House health bill in the middle of 2009.  But under strict instructions from Democratic leaders, and over strong objections from Republicans, the CBO dutifully scored 2010 as the first year of the latest version of Obamacare.  If the clock were started in 2011, the first full year that the bill could possibly be in effect, the CBO says that the bill’s ten-year costs would be $1.2 trillion.

But even that wouldn’t come close to reflecting the bill’s true costs.  The CBO projects that over the next four years, less than two percent of the bill’s alleged “ten year” costs would hit:  just $17 billion of the $940 billion in costs that the Democrats are claiming.  In fact, the costs through President Obama’s entire presidency, should he be reelected, would be $336 billion.  What would the president leave behind for his successor?  According to the CBO, he would leave behind costs of $837 billion during his successor’s first term alone.  If his successor were to serve a second term, he or she would inherit a cool $2.0 trillion in Obamacare costs — about six times its costs during Obama’s own tenure.  This legislation is a ticking time-bomb.

To see the bill’s true first-decade costs, we need to start the clock when the costs would actually start in any meaningful way: in 2014.  The CBO says that Obamacare would cost $2.0 trillion in the bill’s real first decade (from 2014 to 2023) — and much more in the decades to come.

But $2.0 trillion wouldn’t be the total ten-year costs.  Instead, that would merely be the “gross cost of coverage provisions.”  Based on earlier incarnations of the proposed overhaul, the total costs would be about a third higher (the exact number can’t be gleaned from the CBO’s analysis, which is only preliminary and is not a full scoring) — making the total price-tag between $2.5 and $3 trillion over the bill’s real first decade.

How would we pay for all of this?  According to the CBO, by diverting $1.1 trillion away from already barely-solvent Medicare and spending it on Obamacare, and by increasing taxes on the American people by over $1 trillion.  Among the Medicare cuts would be cuts of $25,000 in Medicare Advantage benefits per enrollee — up from $21,000 in the previous scoring.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings… besides the end of Liberal dominance and lunacy!

White House says Critics 'Serving the Goals of al Qaeda'

by Al S. 9. February 2010 06:48

I see, so it’s my fault… and the fault of millions of other right minded bloggers, commentators, and pundits that are the reason they want to blow us up. In an op-ed in USA Today, John Brennan -- Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism -- responds to critics of the Obama administration's counterterrorism policies by saying "Politically motivated criticism and unfounded fear-mongering only serve the goals of al-Qaeda."

witstupid Let’s think about this for a moment. Telling the world that a little water on the face is the grossest form of torture and that the US is bad for using it, failing to stand up to Iran, bowing before every foreign leader he meets, giving the date that we will leave Afghanistan, giving terrorist captives free reign over our legal system with the same benefits and virtues as actual citizens, and travelling the world apologizing for America’s behavior isn’t emboldening terrorists? But pointing out the gross inadequacies of our benevolent potentate is?!?! I would think that al Qaeda is a little more concerned with the fact that so many Americans are now on to tricks of this empty suit, vehemently displeased overall with NObama’s handling of the war on terror.

I heard the ‘Blame Bush’ BS for the first 6 months of America’s mistake’s administration, but it’s been over a year now. Man up and take responsibility. Quit blaming others for your inabilities and show that you deserve that Cracker Jack box peace price. It’s not your detractors that are the problem, it’s YOUR POLICIES, Barry.

Giving props where props are due

by Al S. 8. February 2010 02:45

I've taken a lot of shots from this board and these postings. That's one reason for the comments being censored. I want to keep this site PG-13. But over the last few months I've taken more crap than a Taco Bell toilet. Most of it centers around the fact that there isn't one remotely positive post regarding the POTUS. In response, I would like to give due credit when earned.

It took Obama several weeks to stop wavering on a decision regarding the troop levels in Afghanistan, but finally he gave in and stood up to the hardcore left and began to properly fund and devote resources at the requests of commanders in Afghanistan. In doing so, there has been an increase in covert activity that involves chasing the enemy across the border and into Pakistan. US airstrikes in Pakistan, launched from unmanned drones, are now averaging three a week, triple the number last year.

"For the past month drones have pounded the tribal region of North Waziristan in apparent retaliation for the murder of seven CIA officers in Afghanistan by a Jordanian suicide bomber working with the Pakistani Taliban," according to Times Online UK. "

"Last week America launched its first multiple drone attack, according to Pakistani security officials. Eighteen missiles were fired from eight unmanned aircraft in Dattakhel village, killing 16 people. The discovery of the dead US soldiers revealed that America’s shadowy war in Pakistan not only involves drones but also small cadres of special operations soldiers."

Even though the term is banned, I'm glad to see the War on Terror is getting what it needs for now. So to all you leftards who think I'm narrow minded and can't find anythig positive to say, stick this in your hat!  Good Job on this one, Obama!

Obama blasts SCOTUS for campaign rules that got him elected

by Al S. 28. January 2010 02:21

I couldn't stomach much of the "Obama Show" last night so I'm following up with the transcripts. I did see, however, the remarks in which America's mistake tried to call out the Supreme Court for a recent decision they handed down regarding campaign finance reform. Funny thing is, it's how NObama got elected!

"Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests — including foreign corporations — to spend without limit in our elections," Obama said. "Well I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people, and that’s why I’m urging Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to right this wrong."

Let's look back at the last election... NObama saw that if he skirted his promise to stick to campaign finance restrictions, he wouldn't be able to receive and spend special interest money from George Soros, the Chinese, Unions, and other special interst groups. He therefore opted out of receiving federal money (unlike McCain) and began basking in the glow of numerous contributions from special interest groups that gave him tens of millions more dollars than McCain and his stupid 'stick by the rules I made up' campaign. We all know how that turned out. NObama raised over $600M for his campaign, about $400M of that came from foreign interests!

But now the Supreme Court took a look at the whole campaign finance rules and decided that they were unconstitutional on the grounds that it limited free speech. Now the Teleprompter in Chief used his "State of the Union" addrress to voice a grossly inappropriate opinion about a ruling that will, if nothing else, level the playing field. If it's good enough for NObama to take special interest and foreign money, why isn't it OK for everyone else to do so? Oh wait... I forgot about that whole liberal hypocrasy thingy.

BTW: Isn't it cute how little Rahm got to stay up late and rest his head on Crappy-Nappy's shoulder, listening to his bedtime story from Uncle Barry while shim dozed off? I guess doing nothing about National Security takes a lot out of a guy.

6th Grade reading level requires teleprompter

by Al S. 27. January 2010 02:19

The Teleprompter in Chief has struck again. Over the past year, we've all been sort of desensitized when it comes to seeing America's mistake with his trusty teleprompter no further than arms reach away. But this took it to a new low. Even when talking to 6th graders Barry cannot be seen as an actual genuine person, but rather as a scripted automoton.

Remember when Bush caught hell (and still does) for listening to children read "My Pet Goat" for a few minutes after receiving the confusing news that a second plane had hit the twin towers? All the Monday morning quarterbacking in the world cannot dismiss the fact that no one knew what was going on or had any reliable information past that initial news. He stayed for a few minutes and let the children finish the story and then spoke briefly after every child went. He did it improv style in order to connect with the kids on a level other than elitist special treatment Messiah.

NObama on the other hand can't even handle talking directly to a room full of school children without his teleprompter telling him what to say. Is there nothing genuine or unrehearsed about this guy? Good thing there wasn't another terrorist attack or he would have bolted out of the room with teleprompter in hand, trampling any poor child who got in his way, and headed for the nearest bunker (probably over at Oprah's house).

I know America's mistake sounds like a stuttering buffoon when he answers questions on the fly, but when you're visiting schoolkids, don't you think they would appreciate a little honesty and down-to-earthnes? They deserve it, don't they? Why not sit with the kids at their level... Y'know, at a desk or a small chair or something. Then let the kids actually stand within 20 feet of you so they feel special and honored by the visit. And maybe, instead of simply spouting your teleprompter displayed rhetoric that no one cares about (especially 6th graders), why not let the kids do the talking or let them show you somehting they've learned instead of making it all about you!

Oh wait... Bush did that and got lambasted for it. America's mistake does the opposite and comes across as an out of touch, elitist, narcissist and is given a pass?!?! Undecided
