What a glorious day! House Speaker Nancy “Zombie Skin” Pelosi and I have something we can agree on, but for different reasons. Pelosi said unequivocally today that she is opposed to raising the retirement age, and that scaling back Social Security should not be a means of reducing the deficit.

"To change Social Security in order to balance the budget, they aren't the same thing in my view," the Democrat said today at the Netroots Nation conference in Las Vegas. "When you talk about reducing the deficit and Social Security, you're talking about apples and oranges."

“…other Democratic leaders have said they would support it. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said earlier this year he thinks raising the retirement age could be done with other modifications to ensure that Social Security benefits still support those most in need - such as paying out benefits on a progressive scale. House Democratic Whip James Clyburn has also said he would support raising the retirement age.”

I’m in my mid forties, so this whole raising of the retirement age is right up my alley. Just as I can see a light at the end of the tunnel, Congress wants to extend the tunnel… which I guess is better than a bridge to nowhere. I’ve paid a hell of a lot of money into Social Security, and I’d like a little of it back while I’m still young enough to enjoy it rather than being so old the only thing I need the money for is Depends and Matlock DVD’s.

How about Congress offer a lump sum buyout of Social Security. Give me 20% of what I paid in, right now, and I will sign a waiver stating I will not receive ANY Social Security benefits whether I am of age or not. That would be a HUGE savings to the government. And I guarantee I can turn 20% into a hell of a lot more than I would get by putting it in government hands!

I thought this was an April fool’s joke, but then I realized it’s July.

NASA Administrator Charles Bolden said in a recent interview that his "foremost" mission as the head of America's space exploration agency is to improve relations with the Muslim world.

Though international diplomacy would seem well outside NASA's orbit, Bolden said in an interview with Al Jazeera that strengthening those ties was among the top tasks President Obama assigned him. He said better interaction with the Muslim world would ultimately advance space travel.

"When I became the NASA administrator -- or before I became the NASA administrator -- he charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math, he wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third, and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science ... and math and engineering," Bolden said in the interview.

Doesn’t NASA have bigger problems like finding a replacement for the Shuttle fleet? Oh, wait… Obama cancelled funding for that. Well, I guess NASA’s got nothing better to do but act like a bunch of touchy – feely do-gooders. Maybe NASA will help the religion of peace build their first shuttle and they will use it for purely humanitarian reasons!

The second half of this year will see something surprising happen in the businesses world and Wall Street... Companies will start showing a profit where none was expected, and this time, Obama can blame it on Bush.

With the Bush tax cuts expiring on January 1st, 2011, tens of millions of Americans (not just the ones that make over $250k) and thousands of corporations will see their tax situation change for the worse. The Bush tax cut expiration will affect everyone:
* The 10% bracket rises to an expanded 15%
* The 25% bracket rises to 28%
* The 28% bracket rises to 31%
* The 33% bracket rises to 36%
* The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%
* The “marriage penalty” (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return from the first dollar of income. The child tax credit will be cut in half from $1000 to $500 per child.
* The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 20 percent in 2011. The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6 percent in 2011. These rates will rise another 3.8 percent in 2013.
* There are over 20 new or higher taxes as a result of Obamacare.
And the main reason for the post:
* There are literally scores of tax hikes on business that will take place. The biggest is the loss of the “research and experimentation tax credit.”

What this means, from a business perspective, is that corporations will be scrambling this year to reassign, post, and report any and all profit so as to pay at the lower 2010 levels. There will be buybacks, buyouts, depreciation schedule changes, etc., all designed to place any and all forthcoming profit into the 2010 business friendly time-line.

This will eventually place a false sense of "See, Obama's economic plan is working," among the lemmings who don't know any better. I'm sure Obama will waste no time in taking full credit for the increased profit that American companies will be reporting at the end of the year. Wall Street may see a bit of a jump as well when uninformed investors begin to pile on the profit bandwagon a day late and a dollar short (literally). Now, if your smart, you'll get in now with some handsome Mar - May 2011 call options on your favorite fortune 500 so you can sell them to unsuspecting dupes later this year when the inflated quarterly and yearly numbers are reported (for companies who adhere to a traditional calendar fiscal year).

You will need the cash, because eventually the reality of the situation will set in and people (including "government experts") will begin to see that the companies they thought were soaring are starting to report losses or see mediocre, if any, profits on the horizon. This will lead to a second and more serious recession than our previous one. I'm sure the State controlled media will turn this into another poster boy for Obama's Wall Street takeover attempts, stating that the evil that powers free enterprise is responsible for this latest fiasco and the only way to guarantee it remains fair is to put it in government hands.

So, for all you lib's out there, let me ask you this... What happened to Obama's pledge that no one making under $250k / yr would see a tax increase? And don't throw out that BS about how these are Bush's cuts which he made sure would expire under someone else's watch! Mmmm, no! Our teleprompter in chief could easily extend them, he simply chooses not to.

Ah, Elena Kagan. How could we possibly ask for a more seasoned proponent of American freedom than this overly qualified candidate? NOT! What is Obama's fascination with unattractive, androgynous, libiots when it comes to filling important vacancies? Hillary, Napolitano, Sotomayor, Kagan... When will the madness stop? They are obviously not chosen because of their vast experience, as evidenced by all of Obama's picks.

Despite her lack of femininity or experience, this rubber stamp is being whisked through the confirmation hearings in an effort to fill the court before the Conservative switchover in Congress / Senate this November. Her only chance of confirmation is to rely on her twin brother, Lou, who successfully argued the "Who's on first" case in Abbot vs Costello.

Seriously, though. I have to question someone's basic patriotism, loyalty, and fairness when she, as head of Harvard's Law School, barred military recruiters from campus. Besides that, let's look at her experience and writings... Oh wait, there are none! Funny how the head of a law school has no writings, decisions, or opinions published so that we can actually see if she is level headed enough to even be considered for this position. Once again, Barry, epic fail!

Obama has already announced his next choice for Supreme Court nominee, Pat!

Last week we were a bit stunned to find out that the Attorney General Eric Holder had not read the Arizona law, despite making the rounds on the Sunday talking head’s shows and spouting his thoughts on it. This week we learn that Arizona’s former governor and favorite seat warmer, Janet Napolitano, has not read the bill either. That didn’t stop her though from spewing her uninformed and ignorant stance on the bill.

"That's not the kind of law I would have signed," she declared.

"I believe it's a bad law enforcement law. I believe it mandates and requires local enforcement and puts them in a position many do not want to be placed in," Napolitano said.

"When I was dealing with laws of that ilk, most of the law enforcement agencies in Arizona at that time were opposed to such legislation," she claimed.

Laws of what ilk, Janet? How do you know it’s a bad enforcement law if you haven’t bothered to read it? This has to be the smartest administration in history if they can absorb information without reading a physical piece of paper. Perhaps you and Eric can skip the next big Wednesday night hoe-down at the White House, order a pizza, and actually read the bill together. It’s always better in a group, Janet, that way you can help each other out with the big words like “Illegal” and “Enforcement.”

Yahoo news reported a story that only about 50% of the people in this country pay taxes. The other 50% have “no skin in the game” as our benevolent potentate like to say. Here’s two of my favorite sections of the article:

The result is a tax system that exempts almost half the country from paying for programs that benefit everyone, including national defense, public safety, infrastructure and education. It is a system in which the top 10 percent of earners -- households making an average of $366,400 in 2006 -- paid about 73 percent of the income taxes collected by the federal government.

The bottom 40 percent, on average, make a profit from the federal income tax, meaning they get more money in tax credits than they would otherwise owe in taxes. For those people, the government sends them a payment.

Reading these sad statistics made me think of my favorite modern parable regarding taxes and perceived fairness.

Suppose that every day ten men go out for lunch and the tab for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:

The first five men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $13.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
All for the same meal.

One day, the owner threw them a curve. He said, “Since you are all such good customers, I’m going to reduce the cost of your daily lunches by $20. Food for the ten will now cost just $80.”

The group still wanted to pay their bill the same way we pay our taxes, so the first five men were unaffected. They would still eat for free. But what about the other five men — the actual ‘paying’ customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his “fair share”? They realized that $20 divided by five is $4.00. But if they subtracted that from everybody’s share, then the sixth man would each end up being “paid” to eat his lunch. So the restaurant owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man’s bill by roughly the same formula based on what was paid, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay!

And so: The first five continued to eat lunch for free (no change).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $13 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $50 instead of $59 (15% savings).

Each of the five who had been paying was now better off than before, and they all still ate the same meal. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings. “I only got a dollar back out of the $20 savings,” declared the sixth man. “It’s unfair that he got back nine times more than I!” “That’s true!!”shouted the seventh man. “Why should he get $9 back when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks!” “Wait a minute,” yelled the first five men in unison. “We didn’t get anything at all. This payment system exploits the poor!” So the nine men surrounded the tenth guy and beat him up. The next day the tenth man didn’t show up for lunch, but the other men sat down and ate without him. When it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something interesting. Between them all they didn’t even have enough money to pay half the bill!

I've taken a lot of shots from this board and these postings. That's one reason for the comments being censored. I want to keep this site PG-13. But over the last few months I've taken more crap than a Taco Bell toilet. Most of it centers around the fact that there isn't one remotely positive post regarding the POTUS. It took Obama several weeks to stop wavering on a decision regarding the troop levels in Afghanistan, but finally he gave in and stood up to the hardcore left and began to properly fund and devote resources at the requests of commanders in Afghanistan. In doing so, there has been an increase in covert activity that involves chasing the enemy across the border and into Pakistan. US airstrikes in Pakistan, launched from unmanned drones, are now averaging three a week, triple the number last year.

"For the past month drones have pounded the tribal region of North Waziristan in apparent retaliation for the murder of seven CIA officers in Afghanistan by a Jordanian suicide bomber working with the Pakistani Taliban," according to Times Online UK. "

"Last week America launched its first multiple drone attack, according to Pakistani security officials. Eighteen missiles were fired from eight unmanned aircraft in Dattakhel village, killing 16 people. The discovery of the dead US soldiers revealed that America’s shadowy war in Pakistan not only involves drones but also small cadres of special operations soldiers."

Even though the term is banned, I'm glad to see the War on Terror is getting what it needs for now. So to all you leftards who think I'm narrow minded and can't find anythig positive to say, stick this in your hat!  Good Job on this one, Obama!

America’s mistake seems to be conveniently absent when it comes to defending those who seek freedom and Democracy. What was our beloved king doing this week instead of supporting those who thirst for freedom and Democracy? Oh yeah, he was signing the most important legislation in US history. The bill gives the federal government the ability to regulate the production and sale of cigarettes and other tobacco products. Again, more government control over you, your lives, and your children’s future. Let’s run down what Barry has managed to grab hold of in his few months as benevolent potentate and supreme commander:

1. Controls the US banking system
2. Controls two of the largest automakers in the US
3. Ability to seize banks and companies whose collapse may damage the US economy
4. Wants control over the finest health care system in the world

Barry says "And I also know that kids today don't just start smoking for no reason. They're aggressively targeted as customers by the tobacco industry." No they are not. The are targeted by their peers! Take it from someone who has raised two teenagers. They don’t see any smoking ads on TV or anywhere else for that matter. They hear about smoking from their friends! Cocaine isn’t advertised and yet we see millions of people using that substance (including our favorite coke-addled empty suit). How can this be?

Add to that the fact that Barry smokes. So, when it comes to children and role models, I think King Hussein has done more to encourage kids to smoke than Joe Camel ever did.

Awwww. Did Barney get offended when someone dare to confront him with facts and figures than ask him to explain himself? Seems so.

Barney Frank, the illegitimate son of Judy Dench and Elmer Fudd, couldn’t quite comprehend the complexities of the knee jerk plan to limit what corporate executives are paid. Of course the host will now be reprimanded much like the poor guy who stood on the floor of the NYSE and exclaimed his frustration with a poorly planned stimulus package that NObama crammed down our throats.

In other words, this feigned outrage is being touted by Frank as a ‘shareholder rights’ bill, but is in reality a government oversight and intrusion bill. When called on that fact, Frank gets his panties in a bunch and storms off saying “…diff inavoo id oba” (this interview is over).

Does this tool understand how the whole shareholder / board of directors / executive relationship and responsibilities work? Obviously not or he and his boyfriend wouldn’t have to run an illegal male brothel out of their basement! (I’m not being mean here, he actually did run a brothel out of his home with his boytoy back in the 90’s).

Here’s something these Capitalism challenged know nothings didn’t think of… If you limit the pay of executives, how are they going to pay those high taxes your counting on for free health care? Dumbass.

Frank still needs to answer for the crimes against this country stemming from his disastrous ‘leadership’ of Fannie / Freddie. It is so well documented that I am not going to repeat the whole argument here, but he needs to answer for his gross incompetence and for setting the stage for the current economic situation.

This is getting really sad. The evidence is so ‘in your face’ when it comes to exposing how Democrats use race, religion, ethnicity, income level, and sex to try and divide this country. Without chaos, the Democrats cannot expand their radical agenda to reign in the masses and bring everyone under government control.

Case in point, the tragic shooting of a security guard at the National Holocaust Museum by a sick, twisted individual. Without facts, without proof, without knowledge, the State-run media immediately labeled this POS a “right winger.” The term was used numerous times on Obama friendly outlets such as MSNBC and CNN. Here’s a great example:

Salon.com Editor-in-Chief Joan Walsh, on Wednesday night’s “Hardball,” cited “conservatives” like Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin and Bill O’Reilly for “whipping up” a climate that sparks the likes of alleged Holocaust Museum shooter James Von Brunn and “Hardball” host Chris Matthews wondered if access to guns were to blame for the tragedy as he cried, “It’s easier to get your hands on a gun than to get somebody to make you a waffle.”

Isn’t it funny that the MSM spends so much time trying to place blame on “right wingers” for this tragic event and the one last week involving the abortion doctor? They can’t just blame it on the fact that these people are psychotic, deranged, and dangerous. They seem to ignore the fact that this loon hated FOX news, Bush, the government in general, and was a 9/11 conspiracy nut.

BTW: Where was Chris Matthews when it came to in-depth coverage of how hate speech urged a Muslim to attack and kill a soldier in a military recruitment center in Alabama? Oh yeah, I forgot that to them, Jihadist’s killing Americans is acceptable and we should go to any length to understand why they hate us.

It’s been a while since the last post, and a lot has happened since then. I’ll skip the old news and get to the hot topic of the weekend. At  Saturday’s White House Correspondents Dinner in DC, America’s mistake was so enthralled with the hatred spewing from Wanda Sykes mouth that he couldn’t stop laughing. Now, I understand it’s an event that was to poke fun at people, but this low brow entertainment reached a new low when 2 jokes were told that not just angered many on the right, but drew gales of “WTF’s” from the usually morally bereft media in attendance. I thought the agenda for a ‘roast’ type situation was to make jokes at the expense of the honoree? Not in this case. Sykes just stroked Obama’s already bulging ego and chose to mock those not in attendance.

It’s “Insensitive and Uninformed Night at The Apollo.”

Joke number 1: "I think Rush Limbaugh was the 20th hijacker, but he was so strung out on Oxycontin he missed his flight." Really. How about phrasing the joke to say "I think Hussein Obama was the 20th hijacker, but he was so strung out on cocaine he missed his flight." After all, Barry is an admitted coke-head. Wouldn’t that have been more in line with the expected ‘roast’ type format of the evening? Joke number 2: “ I hope his kidney’s fail”. First of all, this Lefty got her facts wrong… par for the course for libtards that have to skew the facts and quote out of context so that it fits their demented view of the world. Rush said that he hopes his policies fail. Any person that actually listened to or read the transcript would know that to be the fact. But I guess these liberals were too busy burning the dissenting written word than actually reading it. The sad thing is to see America’s mistake chuckling like a buffoon in the background. Keep laughing you one term pariah. I guess the text message from George Soros telling him to feign indifference didn’t make it in time.

How about a joke where you wish Ted Kennedy gets a brain tumor? Ha! Look at me! I can be a tolerant and unifying liberal, too. I’ll just sit back and wait for my invitation to the next White House Correspondents Dinner to arrive in the mail.

I’ve had a few posts on this board referencing the terrible job that Janet Napolitano has done not just as governor, but as the tragic head of the DHS. A person that has absolutely no qualifications to be running the security of this country somehow got selected to do the most important job in this country. She was a complete and miserable failure securing the borders of Arizona, and now this dangerous pariah has completed her list of blunders that makes her expulsion from any type of responsible job a necessity.

First came the despicable report put out by her office that stated the biggest threat to America’s security was right wing extremists! Not a mumble or peep about terrorists, but plenty of bellowing about how veterans, religious people, and gun owners are the biggest threat to America. Shim was quick to backtrack when several groups complained about the generalizations and stereotyping that was rampant in this document. Isn’t it interesting that we can’t stop young middle eastern men who act suspicious in airports because that would be stereotyping, yet the Obama administration can put out a document that is gratuitously laden with generalities and stereotypes? But that’s good old liberal hypocrisy for ya. By the way there Crappy-Nappy, the biggest threat to this country is not conservative beliefs, it’s rampant and unfettered liberalism! After that she went to Canada in an effort to impress our northerly neighbors with her vast knowledge of history and America’s security. This included an historical account of 9/11 where she blames Canada for letting the hijackers into this country. WHAT?!?!? I thought they came directly from overseas… Yet the person in charge of our security is convinced that the terrorists came from Canada? How can this be?

The final straw has to be this disaster of a photo-op that featured Air Force One (a replica) and military fighter jets flying low over New York City. How was Crappy-Nappy involved? Well, as head of DHS, her office would have been responsible for giving the OK to fly these aircraft outside of traditional flight lanes and at low altitudes. It would have to have been coordinated with the military, FAA, and other agencies to ensure it went over smoothly. Instead, it went over like a fart in a diving helmet. You see, Nappy forgot to inform the most important group of all… The people of New York. Of course to liberals, 9/11 was our fault and therefore should be erased from our collective consciousness. But for those of us that live in reality, the memories of that day are still fresh… especially in the minds of New Yorkers! So, after not alerting anyone in New York, a 747 flew low over Manhattan tailed by 2 fighter planes. How could anyone mistake this for what it really was… a photo-op for America’s mistake? Panic ensued. People scrambled from buildings and streets remembering all too well that Tuesday morning almost 8 years ago. It seems that there are a lot of people who are quick to erase these memories and brush them aside. How despicable. HOLD ON – CNN and MSNBC are on the ball! They’re doing a story on this disaster right n… oh wait… it’s a story on what the new white house dog eats! I’m glued to my set!

But wait, there’s more! Now Crappy-Nappy has decided that this whole swine flu thing is nothing to worry about and we shouldn’t dare think of restricting anything coming or going to Mexico. "Right now we don't think the facts warrant more active testing or screening of passengers coming in from Mexico." The next day, the CDC issued a warning to all Americans to avoid travel to Mexico. Has it occurred to this seat warmer that Mexico is the breeding ground for this strain? Way to protect America, Nappy!
