Harry Reid says to pass stimulus package or men will beat women!

by Al S. 23. February 2010 04:56

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) suggested Monday that domestic violence by men has increased due to U.S. joblessness. Now, I understand that the stress of being unemployed can lead to confrontations and fights within families, but to say that this bill needs to pass so that domestic violence can be quelled is laughable, even for Democrats.

Reid, speaking in the midst of a Senate debate over whether to pass a $15 billion package meant to spur job creation, appeared to argue that joblessness would lead to more domestic violence.

"I met with some people while I was home dealing with domestic abuse. It has gotten out of hand," Reid said on the Senate floor. "Why? Men don't have jobs."

So, according to Reid’s logic, we must spend billions more dollars on a do nothing bill that will only add to our deficit while providing, at most, temporary jobs that will be gone soon after the appropriation is spent… So that way domestic abuse will end?!?! Why not just spend a few million dollars on increased resources to better thwart and prosecute domestic violence cases? That way, we save billions and domestic violence gets some well needed resources assigned directly to it.

I’m guessing that when your trying to sell a turd, you advertise it as anything but a turd. Why not say it will make the sun shine brighter and cure cancer? Instead of arguing the perceived merits of the bill, they try and hide the garbage by disguising it as helping with domestic violence. I’m waiting for the Democrats to throw in that old yarn about how it’s “for the children.”

I love his comment about how recently domestic violence “…has gotten out of hand,” like there is some acceptable level of domestic violence that can be overlooked before something needs to be done. What an idiot.

Obama blasts SCOTUS for campaign rules that got him elected

by Al S. 28. January 2010 02:21

I couldn't stomach much of the "Obama Show" last night so I'm following up with the transcripts. I did see, however, the remarks in which America's mistake tried to call out the Supreme Court for a recent decision they handed down regarding campaign finance reform. Funny thing is, it's how NObama got elected!

"Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests — including foreign corporations — to spend without limit in our elections," Obama said. "Well I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people, and that’s why I’m urging Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to right this wrong."

Let's look back at the last election... NObama saw that if he skirted his promise to stick to campaign finance restrictions, he wouldn't be able to receive and spend special interest money from George Soros, the Chinese, Unions, and other special interst groups. He therefore opted out of receiving federal money (unlike McCain) and began basking in the glow of numerous contributions from special interest groups that gave him tens of millions more dollars than McCain and his stupid 'stick by the rules I made up' campaign. We all know how that turned out. NObama raised over $600M for his campaign, about $400M of that came from foreign interests!

But now the Supreme Court took a look at the whole campaign finance rules and decided that they were unconstitutional on the grounds that it limited free speech. Now the Teleprompter in Chief used his "State of the Union" addrress to voice a grossly inappropriate opinion about a ruling that will, if nothing else, level the playing field. If it's good enough for NObama to take special interest and foreign money, why isn't it OK for everyone else to do so? Oh wait... I forgot about that whole liberal hypocrasy thingy.

BTW: Isn't it cute how little Rahm got to stay up late and rest his head on Crappy-Nappy's shoulder, listening to his bedtime story from Uncle Barry while shim dozed off? I guess doing nothing about National Security takes a lot out of a guy.

Attention minions! Politburo demands your obedience

by Al S. 6. August 2009 05:47

Do NOT read the Healthcare Destructon Bill. People better than you have already determined it to be GREAT! Do NOT question it!

Today the Central Committee is ordering all proletariat members to alert the great and powerful Oz of any dissention amongst the ranks regarding our glorious leader’s gift of free healthcare.

If you have had a conversation with or received e-mails from a kapitalist pig regarding our attempted takeover and outright destruction of the finest healthcare system in the world, please alert the authorities immediately.

“There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care.  These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.  Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.” - Macon Phillips, Commissar of Dissention Control.

Let it be known that dissemination of facts and actual reading of the Healthcare Destruction Bill will NOT be tolerated. Such thoughts and opinions have not been approved by Central Command. Continue getting your thoughts and opinions ONLY from state approved propaganda outlets (CBS, CNN, MSNBC, DailyKok, PuffHo, etc.).

Bawny Fwank gets upset when confronted with facts

by Al S. 11. June 2009 07:13

Awwww. Did Barney get offended when someone dare to confront him with facts and figures than ask him to explain himself? Seems so.

Barney Frank, the illegitimate son of Judy Dench and Elmer Fudd, couldn’t quite comprehend the complexities of the knee jerk plan to limit what corporate executives are paid. Of course the host will now be reprimanded much like the poor guy who stood on the floor of the NYSE and exclaimed his frustration with a poorly planned stimulus package that NObama crammed down our throats.

In other words, this feigned outrage is being touted by Frank as a ‘shareholder rights’ bill, but is in reality a government oversight and intrusion bill. When called on that fact, Frank gets his panties in a bunch and storms off saying “…diff inavoo id oba” (this interview is over).

Does this tool understand how the whole shareholder / board of directors / executive relationship and responsibilities work? Obviously not or he and his boyfriend wouldn’t have to run an illegal male brothel out of their basement! (I’m not being mean here, he actually did run a brothel out of his home with his boytoy back in the 90’s).

Here’s something these Capitalism challenged know nothings didn’t think of… If you limit the pay of executives, how are they going to pay those high taxes your counting on for free health care? Dumbass.

Frank still needs to answer for the crimes against this country stemming from his disastrous ‘leadership’ of Fannie / Freddie. It is so well documented that I am not going to repeat the whole argument here, but he needs to answer for his gross incompetence and for setting the stage for the current economic situation.

TEA Parties ignite the grass roots Conservative movement

by Al S. 16. April 2009 12:24

Wow! What a  day yesterday. Here in Phoenix there were over 5,000 people. You couldn’t get close to the speaking area if you got there after 4pm. I’ve been reading the reports and numbers and there were easily over 1 million people that took to the streets in their communities and towns to protest the rampant and irresponsible spending of this dangerous Administration.

If you were foolish enough to watch the Communist News Network (CNN), you saw a display of elitist douche bags that snickered at their tea bag joke like a bunch of third graders. What these overeducated doofi (plural of ‘doofus’) didn’t realize was that the term ‘tea’ is actually an acronym for Taxed Enough Already. Now, I’ve had to explain to several uninformed acquaintances who tried to bring up the argument that Obama just gave us a generous $8 to $14 per week tax break, so how could we be feeling taxed enough? Well, what they don’t realize is that the only reason people are getting that piddly amount is because of a change in the withholding rate, not a change in the tax rate. What does this mean? It means that at the end of the year, you will still owe the same amount of taxes, but since the government is withholding less, you might end up owing at the end of the year instead of getting a bit of a refund. Then add to that the painfully obvious admission that in order to pay back America’s mistake’s $9 Trillion budget, there are going to have to be severe adjustments in taxes, whether they be income, sales, or other. But even then, that wasn’t the gist of the gathering. We were there to oppose higher taxes, big bailouts, rampant earmarks, and explosive government growth. They would have known that had they actually taken the time to ask, rather than just knee-jerk a reaction that this is just another ‘Right Wing gathering’.

oxymoron
Rep. Gravyskin

Not everyone enjoyed the TEA Parties, though. Representative Jan Schakowsky from Illinois (go figure) had some scathing words for those that dare to question the great and powerful Oz!

"The ‘tea parties’ being held today by groups of right-wing activists, and fueled by FOX News Channel, are an effort to mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates 3.5 million jobs," Schakowsky said in a statement.

"It’s despicable that right-wing Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant, honorable moment of American history with a shameful political stunt," she added. "Not a single American household or business will be taxed at a higher rate this year. Made to look like a grassroots uprising, this is an Obama bashing party promoted by corporate interests, as well as Republican lobbyists and politicians.”

This TEA Party was not organized or authorized by anyone other than the responsible people of this country who are sick and tired of know-it-alls like Jackoffsky bankrupting our children’s future! I didn’t receive any special email from Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. I didn’t get a phone call from Newt Gingrich or some fortune 500 company exec explaining where I had to be and why. It just so happens that these 5,000 plus people in Phoenix did it because they wanted to! I know that's a foreign concept to these moronic representatives from Illinois that people protest without receiving a check from ACORN, but they need to pull their heads out of their collective asses and get on board with what the majority of people in this country want… Responsible spending! Hopefully in 2010 the voters of Illinois will have enough sense to dump this loser.

BTW: Did you see in the picture above that she is a member of the ‘Intelligence’ Committee? What an oxymoron! I think she’s had too many facelifts… If they pull that skin up any more, she’ll have a goatee!

Let me remind this loony lefty about something she obviously has no expertise in… The constitution.

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Who cares if this thing had been orchestrated by Limbaugh or Newt? The fact is we have a right to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. I’m sure she feels differently about the marches and protests organized by Cindy Sheehan, ACORN, or Al Sharpton. By the way Gravyskin, you can get a free copy of the constitution at The Heritage Foundation.

I have not heard any reports of groups trying to disrupt the activities, which is great! Now we can sit back and wait for the next big chance to send government our message of true hope and change… July 4th! See ya then!

Obama's redistribution of wealth comes full circle

by Al S. 23. March 2009 06:39

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration will call for increased oversight of executive pay at all banks, Wall Street firms and possibly other companies as part of a sweeping plan to overhaul financial regulation, government officials said.

The new rules will cover all financial institutions, including those not now covered by any pay rules because they are not receiving federal bailout money. Officials say the rules could also be applied more broadly to publicly traded companies, which already report about some executive pay practices to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

During the presidential campaign, Mr. Obama repeatedly urged regulators to adopt new rules to give shareholders a greater voice in setting executive pay for all public companies.

This should scare the heck out of every business owner and investor. The government wants to tell companies the minimum they can pay, and now the maximum they can pay! I believe its part 3 of a 4 part conspiracy:

1) Government can determine a minimum wage for workers. This has been in effect for years. Phase 1 complete.

2) This is the real conspiracy. Obama and his frat buddy Geithner knew all along these huge AIG bonuses would be going out (that is a fact, not the conspiracy). The conspiracy is that they wanted it to happen in order to fuel the most beloved of all liberal strategies... class envy. Just listen to the feigned outrage in NObama's voice as he is shocked and outraged that some people get huge bonuses. Of course the brainless masses get their pitchforks and torches and line up right behind him.

3) Now, to make the illusion of caring come full circle, congress knee-jerks a bill through that taxes this group of individuals at a 90% tax rate, even though its unconstitutional! Add to the the fact that Obama wants to set limits on executive pay at large companies all in the name of fairness. Publicly traded companies that have NO affiliation or financial obligation to the government (other than taxes) may have limits imposed on what they can pay.

4) If this latest round of Koolaid is consumed by the masses, the government will have a lock on the minimum and maximum that employers can pay. The next step is to now narrow that gap. Its the full circle of Obama's campaign promise to redistribute the wealth.

A full time minimum wager earns about $16,640. Lets say the government sets the upper limit to $400k. Now, in the name of fairness, it can be adjusted so that annual minimum wage is more like $35k and the upper will be shrunk to $300k. Then, since there are far more lower end underachievers than upper end payers, they will have no problem shrinking it even more... say $55k to $200K.

Let me point out one thing about how completely out of touch this administration is when it comes to free market tendencies: "adopt new rules to give shareholders a greater voice in setting executive pay for all public companies"... You don't need government rules, dummy! Shareholders voice their outrage by NOT INVESTING IN THAT COMPANY! If they decide to give bloated bonuses that cuts profit and dividends, investors walk... stock goes down, company loses money.

I keep reading on other boards that people want to give Obama a year and then lets rate how he is doing as President. To be honest, I don't think we can wait a year!

"Feigned Outrage" Bill of 2009

by Al S. 20. March 2009 07:01
I think we pretty much agree AIG shouldn't have given the lavish bonuses and we may disagree on whether or not they should give all or none back, etc. BUT - The troubling thing to me is this 'Feined Outrage' bill that just passed yesterday. It places a specific tax on bonus money paid out by companies that were given bailout funds.

Hear me out. "The bill would impose a 90 percent tax on bonuses given to employees with family incomes above $250,000 at American International Group and other companies that have received at least $5 billion in government bailout money. It would apply to any such bonuses issued since Dec. 31.". My beef is the following:

1) What about the poor family that has one member making $50k from a bailout recipient company and gets a measely $20k bonus. Lets say their spouse makes $200k. Under this scenario, they would have to pay a 90% tax on the $20k. What if they used that money to pay off credit cards or pay off a car loan? They no longer have that cash in hand. If they can't pay that money to the IRS ahead of time, when they file they will show a substantial lopsidedness in what they owe. When you owe over a certain amount in taxes, there are additional penalties and fees that quickly grow the amount of what you owe. So, the family above could end up owing $23k to the government next tax year instead of $18k.

Add to this the fact that the government now thinks its OK to selectively tax a group or individual. Which brings me to...

2) This whole thing will never see the light of day. It is unconstitutional. Bills of Attainder and retroactive laws (laws passed Ex Post Facto) are ILLEGAL. Add to this the contract clause (the bonuses were paid under a contract) and the whole payback thing falls apart... Plus there are MANY AIG recipients that work outside the US and do not pay or file US taxes.

Obama takes responsibility while insisting he's not responsible

by Al S. 19. March 2009 12:35

You've probably heard the sound bites splattered all over the MSM about Obama taking the lead and proclaiming "There's been a lot of finger-pointing and blaming here and there; Well, I'll take the responsibility - I am the President!". But if you listen to the WHOLE statement, you'll find he's more than happy to take the responsibility... but insists he's not responsible. Undecided

Sounds like the Obama / Dodd love affair is over...

From Breitbart:
Topic No. 1 raised by Republicans during the House debate was the last-minute altering of a provision in President Barack Obama's $787 billion stimulus law to cap executive compensation for firms receiving government bailouts.

The measure might have forestalled payment of the AIG bonuses.

But Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd, a Connecticut Democrat and the author of the provision, says the administration insisted that he modify his proposal so that it would only apply to payments agreed to in the future.

That, critics claim, cleared the way for the AIG pay-outs.

"The idea came from the administration," Dodd said Thursday

AIG bailout... A bit of a twist

by Al S. 18. March 2009 03:45
I have a bit ogf a twist. Those bonuses were contractural obligations that were around BEFORE the details of their stimulus money were worked out. How come 'Turbo Tax' Geithner and Obama didn't catch it then? Now they act like a deer staring at the front of an oncoming Peterbilt when AIG execs are getting bonuses when they knew it all along! Plus, the bonuses are ONLY .0024% of their bailout money.

They should never have taken the bonuses to start with. But, a contract is a contract and the Obama administration agreed to let those bonuses be included despite receiving bailout money. Only after public outrage has Obama had to act like they never saw it coming.

Associated Press:
For months, the Obama administration and members of Congress have known that insurance giant AIG was getting ready to pay huge bonuses while living off government bailouts. It wasn't until the money was flowing and news was trickling out to the public that official Washington rose up in anger and vowed to yank the money back.

Why the sudden furor, just weeks after Barack Obama's team paid out $30 billion in additional aid to the company? So far, the administration has been unable to match its actions to Obama's tough rhetoric on executive compensation. And Congress has been unable or unwilling to restrict bonuses for bailout recipients, despite some lawmakers' repeated efforts to do so.

The situation has the White House and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on the defensive. The administration was caught off guard Tuesday trying to explain why Geithner had waited until last Wednesday to call AIG chief executive Edward M. Liddy and demand that the bonus payments be restructured.

How come Obama and other democrooks don't have to pay back their AIG bonuses?:

Chris Dodd: $103,100
Obama: $101,332
