Breaking News:

NAACP claims TEA Party is racist

by Al S. 14. July 2010 08:17

On Tuesday, the NAACP voted on and passed a resolution calling the grass-roots conservative TEA Party movement “racist.” Ain’t that the pot calling the kettle black! Let’s look at this gross display of ignorance and hypocrisy up close, shall we?

First, the group is called the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People! That’s right, this group has only one primary and stated goal, the advancement of one race… theirs. Doesn’t that seem a little racist to you? They collect money (tax free, by the way) and use it to promote the advancement of a single race. Not Asians, not Jews, not ‘crackers’ as the Black Panther’s respectfully refer to us Anglo’s as, but only colored people.

What about their enrollment? Oh, wait… They only allow blacks into their club. How can this be? I thought we were all created equally and should not be judged by the color of our skin but by the content of our character? Hmmm… I’m no professional race-baiter like Sharpton or Jesse Jackson, but that to me sounds a little bit racist!

Let’s add one more fact to this moronic and hypocritical outrage from this group of hate mongers… They have no proof of any racism within the TEA party! You read that right… no proof!

imageI do not live in this district, but if I did I would certainly vote for Vernon Parker (right). He is a level headed conservative who has the right message and the right ideas for America. Oh, and he’s smart enough not to fall for this phony BS about racism where none exists simply to try and enhance membership numbers or voter rolls.

“I have not experienced the charges of racism that the NAACP is touting,” Vernon Parker, an African-American tea party congressional candidate in Arizona, told POLITICO.

Parker, former mayor of Paradise Valley, said that he has never felt out of place at a tea party rally because of the color of his skin.

“When I go to tea party events, people don’t look at me any differently,” he said. “They didn’t judge me on the color of my skin, quite frankly, they judged me on my principles."

image"The NAACP should be concerned about bringing jobs to people in depressed areas,” he added, “not the tea party.”

Well said, my friend. It’s sad that so many minorities are hell-bent on finding racism around every corner that they can’t see the forest through the trees. Hopefully men like Vernon Parker and Tony Bouie (left), who took the time to go door to door and talk with me and my family about what’s important, will prevail and we can get some good conservative leadership in place for this state and for the country.

Dems vow to confirm Kagan lickety split

by Al S. 29. June 2010 02:49

kagantwin

Ah, Elena Kagan. How could we possibly ask for a more seasoned proponent of American freedom than this overly qualified candidate? NOT! What is Obama's fascination with unattractive, androgynous, libiots when it comes to filling important vacancies? Hillary, Napolitano, Sotomayor, Kagan... When will the madness stop? They are obviously not chosen because of their vast experience, as evidenced by all of Obama's picks.

Despite her lack of femininity or experience, this rubber stamp is being whisked through the confirmation hearings in an effort to fill the court before the Conservative switchover in Congress / Senate this November. Her only chance of confirmation is to rely on her twin brother, Lou, who successfully argued the "Who's on first" case in Abbot vs Costello.

patSeriously, though. I have to question someone's basic patriotism, loyalty, and fairness when she, as head of Harvard's Law School, barred military recruiters from campus. Besides that, let's look at her experience and writings... Oh wait, there are none! Funny how the head of a law school has no writings, decisions, or opinions published so that we can actually see if she is level headed enough to even be considered for this position. Once again, Barry, epic fail!

Obama has already announced his next choice for Supreme Court nominee, Pat!

John McCain switches parties – He’s now a Republican

by Al S. 24. June 2010 04:48

image Here in Arizona, we have a very important decision coming up in August. There is a hotly contested Republican Senate primary race that is getting nastier by the day. John McCain, fresh from his conversion to a Republican, claims that he is the last and greatest protector of all that is conservative. Yet, he authored the cap and trade legislation as well as the amnesty bill which flies in the face of Arizona's overwhelming support for SB1070.

Now, however, he is in a run to protect his power, and that means making false claims, misrepresentations, and outright lies. He now claims to be against Cap and Trade... which he wrote. He also says now that amnesty is not a good idea... again, legislation he wrote! I'm also sick and tired of this 'maverick' label he keeps using. Give me a break... At his age, 'maverick' means staying up to watch Leno or going to Luby's after the early bird special expires at 4PM.

image JD Hayworth on the other hand has his own issues. Among them, working as a lobbyist for a Florida company, which isn't a big deal to me. The guy lost his gig in Congress and needed to make a living. So be it. He is incredibly smart and articulate, and I agree with a lot of his politics. McCain has been playing a nasty campaign against JD claiming that his infomercial shilling for a company that showed people how to get free government money, which was later shut down due to unscrupulous activity, is somehow JD Hayworth's fault. Using McCain logic, you could then say that since his trophy wife owns the Budweiser distributorship here in Arizona, the beer contributes to drunk driving. Therefore, John McCain supports drunk driving! It's an asinine argument and one that I would not expect from a man in McCain's position. I guess class left his campaign some time ago.

The reason I am voting for JD Hayworth is this: Both claim to stand for / represent about 80% of what I believe should be done legislatively in this country. McCain has been in the Senate for over 20 years and has accomplished very little recently to further the Conservative agenda, but did orchestrate Campaign Finance Reform which arguably cost him the presidential election. So, if there are 2 people who represent the same ideals I have and one has been trying for 20+ years and hasn't accomplished anything meaningful lately, why not give another guy a chance? The worst he'll do is get nothing done, which is the same thing McCain is doing now.

phil_sepatbirth On a side note, I thank GOD that the abysmal failure of a Mayor Phail Gordon will be out on his rear end. His political career in this state is in the proverbial crapper. His stance on SB1070 and his mocking of the 70%+ people that support it was the final nail in his political coffin.

Separated at birth? In this picture we have a respected and admired member of the community with hundreds of thousands of supporters… and Phail Gordon.

Another Dem claims TEA party is biggest threat to America

by Al S. 6. May 2010 08:53

This exchange was between a reporter and Rep. Andre Carson, another ‘head in the sand’ liberal who refuses to call radical Islamic Jihadist’s “Terrorists.” However, he has no problem insulting the good people of this country, and in particular, TEA party members.

KERRY PICKET (Wash. Times): Do you think the people outside are generally dangerous or no?

REP. CARSON: Oh absolutely. I worked in homeland security. I’m from intelligence, and I’ll tell you, one of the largest threats to our internal security…I mean terrorism has an Islamic face, but it really comes from racial supremacist groups. (inaudible) Its the kind of thing we keep a threat assessment on record [for].

PICKET: From groups like this?

REP. CARSON: Oh absolutely.

I think he has redefined the term oxymoron… He worked in intelligence and thinks the great Americans that comprise the TEA parties are the biggest threat to the US? I guess he missed out on some key developments over the last ten years.

He is right about one thing, TEA party members are a huge threat… at the ballot box!

Raul Grijalva – Village Idiot, District 7

by Al S. 26. April 2010 04:12

You never really know how qualified someone is to represent your country, state, or community until you see their reaction to various legislative actions. Case in point: It took Arizona’s passage of SB1070 to bring to light the gross incompetence of Raul Grijalva.

lgra

You have to wonder just how someone that is this clueless managed to not only run for national office, but also win. Here’s some of the lunacy from Raul.

After passage of SB1070, Raul and another misguided, constitutionally challenged ‘representative’ signed a letter asking the great and powerful Obama to intervene, wave his magic wand, and make this law disappear.

The problem with that, Raul, is a little thing called the 10th amendment… Otherwise known as “States Rights.” Had you bothered to take some sort of civics or history class at whatever diploma mill you graduated from, you would know that the federal government has limited power to only those specifically granted to it by the constitution.

That’s not the last we heard from this great ‘representative’ from Arizona. He also went on a campaign to tell businesses and tourists to avoid the state... A state he represents. He is actively driving revenue away from a state he claims to represent and care about. Let’s hope this encourages groups like La Raza to stop visiting Arizona. In that case, keep spreading the word, Raul.

This idiocy would be laughable if it wasn’t true. The sad thing is that we have clueless and dangerous elected officials who obviously do not represent the people of their district, since over 70% of Arizonan’s agree with SB1070!

Way to go, Raul. Your helping the conservative 2010 movement more than you’ll ever know. You’ll have plenty of time to ponder your inadequacies once the people of district 7 realize your not looking out for their best interests.

If you think health care is expensive now, wait until it’s FREE!

by Al S. 24. March 2010 18:26

It took a lot of lies, deception, and crooked backroom dealings, but the trustworthy and forthright Democrats have forced the Health care destruction bill down our throats… for now. Let’s hope the numerous lawsuits, challenges, and 2010 elections will eradicate this cancer from our nation and it’s people. That would be the greatest health care gift.

I’m going to quote from a couple of sources here so that I don’t just simply end up stealing their words. The first is from liberalwhoppers.com posted last Friday. It outlines how the “ever so honest” Dems were able to fudge the numbers on the CBO report. Their goal was to provide any smoke and mirrors that would make this monstrosity obamacare2 come in under $1 Trillion for the first ten years. Well, here’s the lies that show how they did it:

The ‘manipulations’ that I highlighted, along with those I didn’t, might be the greatest scam or fraud ever perpetrated on American citizens in our countries history.

The two manipulations that I focused on were the ten years of tax revenue vs. only six years of Obamacare expenses, and Pelosi and Reid blocking all attempts to pass the Medicare ‘doctors fix’, until after the CBO scored the reconciliation bill and Obamacare is passed.

Unfortunately, with CBS and other news agencies touting the “CBO certified” numbers and trumpeting how Obamacare will reduce the deficit, many Americans don’t understand the true cost or that the CBO summary numbers are meaningless, because of the manipulative limitations that the Democrats required the CBO to follow.

The Weekly Standard followed with an actual breakdown of the abysmal finances:

For a variety of reasons, this tally doesn’t remotely reflect the bill’s real ten-year costs.  First, it includes 2010 as the initial year.  As most people are well aware, 2010 has now been underway for some time.  Therefore, the CBO would normally count 2011 as the first year of its analysis, just as it counted 2010 as the first year when analyzing the initial House health bill in the middle of 2009.  But under strict instructions from Democratic leaders, and over strong objections from Republicans, the CBO dutifully scored 2010 as the first year of the latest version of Obamacare.  If the clock were started in 2011, the first full year that the bill could possibly be in effect, the CBO says that the bill’s ten-year costs would be $1.2 trillion.

But even that wouldn’t come close to reflecting the bill’s true costs.  The CBO projects that over the next four years, less than two percent of the bill’s alleged “ten year” costs would hit:  just $17 billion of the $940 billion in costs that the Democrats are claiming.  In fact, the costs through President Obama’s entire presidency, should he be reelected, would be $336 billion.  What would the president leave behind for his successor?  According to the CBO, he would leave behind costs of $837 billion during his successor’s first term alone.  If his successor were to serve a second term, he or she would inherit a cool $2.0 trillion in Obamacare costs — about six times its costs during Obama’s own tenure.  This legislation is a ticking time-bomb.

To see the bill’s true first-decade costs, we need to start the clock when the costs would actually start in any meaningful way: in 2014.  The CBO says that Obamacare would cost $2.0 trillion in the bill’s real first decade (from 2014 to 2023) — and much more in the decades to come.

But $2.0 trillion wouldn’t be the total ten-year costs.  Instead, that would merely be the “gross cost of coverage provisions.”  Based on earlier incarnations of the proposed overhaul, the total costs would be about a third higher (the exact number can’t be gleaned from the CBO’s analysis, which is only preliminary and is not a full scoring) — making the total price-tag between $2.5 and $3 trillion over the bill’s real first decade.

How would we pay for all of this?  According to the CBO, by diverting $1.1 trillion away from already barely-solvent Medicare and spending it on Obamacare, and by increasing taxes on the American people by over $1 trillion.  Among the Medicare cuts would be cuts of $25,000 in Medicare Advantage benefits per enrollee — up from $21,000 in the previous scoring.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings… besides the end of Liberal dominance and lunacy!

The power of the people

by Al S. 16. March 2010 18:10

With the healthcare destruction bill of 2010 nearing a somewhat illegal voting procedure, responsible citizens have taken to the phones in an effort to ensure this reckless, do nothing legislation dies the slow and painful death it deserves.

image House phone lines were nearing capacity on Tuesday as conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh encouraged fans to call in their objections on healthcare legislation. The office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) sent out a system-wide advisory to member offices at 2 p.m. Tuesday, warning them of the dramatic increase in traffic.

“Our phone system is nearing capacity,” said Jeff Ventura, spokesman for the CAO. “It got critical enough whereby we notified all systems’ administrators throughout the House that the phone systems are overloading.”

It is imperative that the back-door tactics of these socialist lemmings fails at every turn. First, the senate was looking to pass it with 60 votes, like it should. Then that strategy went the way of the ‘closing Gitmo’ argument and the Dems, including America’s mistake, decided to derail the process and begin a procedure known as the ‘nuclear option.’ Obama was adamant that the ‘nuclear option’ was not acceptable, but in recent weeks has become silent on the issue, showing his true, rudderless, leaderless ineptitude.

“Unlike computers, which can be scaled to accommodate something like this in real time, phone lines are hard-wired, so you have your capacity and once the capacity is full, you’re going to get the good old-fashioned busy signal,” he said. “And that’s what’s happening.”

This bill does absolutely nothing to change the skyrocketing cost of health insurance. Sure, the libs will beat you over the head with their ‘blame it on corporate greed!’ mantra, but there is ONE key fact about health insurance costs that seems to be missing from this massive overhaul:

Tort reform. Runaway, encouraged, and rampant litigation by opportunistic thieving law firms has driven up costs that doctors and hospitals have to pay for malpractice insurance. In Phoenix, doctor's pay $50k - $90k per year for this insurance… just to cover their ass in case of a lawsuit filed on behalf of a slimy lawyer looking to make his next house payment. And who pays the extra for that? Well, you do. They raise their fees to accommodate this humongous burden.

Another heavy cost to insurance companies are the tons of unnecessary tests that are ordered for patients. Doctor’s do this so that they cover ALL the bases, no matter how small the problem. That way, if they are sued they can show they checked for everything they should have… and then some!

I guess having the trial lawyers in the pocket of the libs made sure that there was nothing in here that would dare take a penny away from their nefarious livelihood. I also notice that the uber-taxation of Cadillac health plans is missing for union workers! Am I the only one outraged over this phony ‘government takeover in disguise’ bill? Obviously not, because the phone lines and emails to those that are supposed to represent us is growing larger than the Obama-nation debt!

Harry Reid says to pass stimulus package or men will beat women!

by Al S. 23. February 2010 04:56

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) suggested Monday that domestic violence by men has increased due to U.S. joblessness. Now, I understand that the stress of being unemployed can lead to confrontations and fights within families, but to say that this bill needs to pass so that domestic violence can be quelled is laughable, even for Democrats.

Reid, speaking in the midst of a Senate debate over whether to pass a $15 billion package meant to spur job creation, appeared to argue that joblessness would lead to more domestic violence.

"I met with some people while I was home dealing with domestic abuse. It has gotten out of hand," Reid said on the Senate floor. "Why? Men don't have jobs."

So, according to Reid’s logic, we must spend billions more dollars on a do nothing bill that will only add to our deficit while providing, at most, temporary jobs that will be gone soon after the appropriation is spent… So that way domestic abuse will end?!?! Why not just spend a few million dollars on increased resources to better thwart and prosecute domestic violence cases? That way, we save billions and domestic violence gets some well needed resources assigned directly to it.

I’m guessing that when your trying to sell a turd, you advertise it as anything but a turd. Why not say it will make the sun shine brighter and cure cancer? Instead of arguing the perceived merits of the bill, they try and hide the garbage by disguising it as helping with domestic violence. I’m waiting for the Democrats to throw in that old yarn about how it’s “for the children.”

I love his comment about how recently domestic violence “…has gotten out of hand,” like there is some acceptable level of domestic violence that can be overlooked before something needs to be done. What an idiot.

Obama blasts SCOTUS for campaign rules that got him elected

by Al S. 28. January 2010 02:21

I couldn't stomach much of the "Obama Show" last night so I'm following up with the transcripts. I did see, however, the remarks in which America's mistake tried to call out the Supreme Court for a recent decision they handed down regarding campaign finance reform. Funny thing is, it's how NObama got elected!

"Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law to open the floodgates for special interests — including foreign corporations — to spend without limit in our elections," Obama said. "Well I don’t think American elections should be bankrolled by America’s most powerful interests, or worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people, and that’s why I’m urging Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to right this wrong."

Let's look back at the last election... NObama saw that if he skirted his promise to stick to campaign finance restrictions, he wouldn't be able to receive and spend special interest money from George Soros, the Chinese, Unions, and other special interst groups. He therefore opted out of receiving federal money (unlike McCain) and began basking in the glow of numerous contributions from special interest groups that gave him tens of millions more dollars than McCain and his stupid 'stick by the rules I made up' campaign. We all know how that turned out. NObama raised over $600M for his campaign, about $400M of that came from foreign interests!

But now the Supreme Court took a look at the whole campaign finance rules and decided that they were unconstitutional on the grounds that it limited free speech. Now the Teleprompter in Chief used his "State of the Union" addrress to voice a grossly inappropriate opinion about a ruling that will, if nothing else, level the playing field. If it's good enough for NObama to take special interest and foreign money, why isn't it OK for everyone else to do so? Oh wait... I forgot about that whole liberal hypocrasy thingy.

BTW: Isn't it cute how little Rahm got to stay up late and rest his head on Crappy-Nappy's shoulder, listening to his bedtime story from Uncle Barry while shim dozed off? I guess doing nothing about National Security takes a lot out of a guy.

Attention minions! Politburo demands your obedience

by Al S. 6. August 2009 05:47

Do NOT read the Healthcare Destructon Bill. People better than you have already determined it to be GREAT! Do NOT question it!

Today the Central Committee is ordering all proletariat members to alert the great and powerful Oz of any dissention amongst the ranks regarding our glorious leader’s gift of free healthcare.

If you have had a conversation with or received e-mails from a kapitalist pig regarding our attempted takeover and outright destruction of the finest healthcare system in the world, please alert the authorities immediately.

“There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care.  These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.  Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.” - Macon Phillips, Commissar of Dissention Control.

Let it be known that dissemination of facts and actual reading of the Healthcare Destruction Bill will NOT be tolerated. Such thoughts and opinions have not been approved by Central Command. Continue getting your thoughts and opinions ONLY from state approved propaganda outlets (CBS, CNN, MSNBC, DailyKok, PuffHo, etc.).

Bawny Fwank gets upset when confronted with facts

by Al S. 11. June 2009 07:13

Awwww. Did Barney get offended when someone dare to confront him with facts and figures than ask him to explain himself? Seems so.

Barney Frank, the illegitimate son of Judy Dench and Elmer Fudd, couldn’t quite comprehend the complexities of the knee jerk plan to limit what corporate executives are paid. Of course the host will now be reprimanded much like the poor guy who stood on the floor of the NYSE and exclaimed his frustration with a poorly planned stimulus package that NObama crammed down our throats.

In other words, this feigned outrage is being touted by Frank as a ‘shareholder rights’ bill, but is in reality a government oversight and intrusion bill. When called on that fact, Frank gets his panties in a bunch and storms off saying “…diff inavoo id oba” (this interview is over).

Does this tool understand how the whole shareholder / board of directors / executive relationship and responsibilities work? Obviously not or he and his boyfriend wouldn’t have to run an illegal male brothel out of their basement! (I’m not being mean here, he actually did run a brothel out of his home with his boytoy back in the 90’s).

Here’s something these Capitalism challenged know nothings didn’t think of… If you limit the pay of executives, how are they going to pay those high taxes your counting on for free health care? Dumbass.

Frank still needs to answer for the crimes against this country stemming from his disastrous ‘leadership’ of Fannie / Freddie. It is so well documented that I am not going to repeat the whole argument here, but he needs to answer for his gross incompetence and for setting the stage for the current economic situation.

TEA Parties ignite the grass roots Conservative movement

by Al S. 16. April 2009 12:24

Wow! What a  day yesterday. Here in Phoenix there were over 5,000 people. You couldn’t get close to the speaking area if you got there after 4pm. I’ve been reading the reports and numbers and there were easily over 1 million people that took to the streets in their communities and towns to protest the rampant and irresponsible spending of this dangerous Administration.

If you were foolish enough to watch the Communist News Network (CNN), you saw a display of elitist douche bags that snickered at their tea bag joke like a bunch of third graders. What these overeducated doofi (plural of ‘doofus’) didn’t realize was that the term ‘tea’ is actually an acronym for Taxed Enough Already. Now, I’ve had to explain to several uninformed acquaintances who tried to bring up the argument that Obama just gave us a generous $8 to $14 per week tax break, so how could we be feeling taxed enough? Well, what they don’t realize is that the only reason people are getting that piddly amount is because of a change in the withholding rate, not a change in the tax rate. What does this mean? It means that at the end of the year, you will still owe the same amount of taxes, but since the government is withholding less, you might end up owing at the end of the year instead of getting a bit of a refund. Then add to that the painfully obvious admission that in order to pay back America’s mistake’s $9 Trillion budget, there are going to have to be severe adjustments in taxes, whether they be income, sales, or other. But even then, that wasn’t the gist of the gathering. We were there to oppose higher taxes, big bailouts, rampant earmarks, and explosive government growth. They would have known that had they actually taken the time to ask, rather than just knee-jerk a reaction that this is just another ‘Right Wing gathering’.

oxymoron
Rep. Gravyskin

Not everyone enjoyed the TEA Parties, though. Representative Jan Schakowsky from Illinois (go figure) had some scathing words for those that dare to question the great and powerful Oz!

"The ‘tea parties’ being held today by groups of right-wing activists, and fueled by FOX News Channel, are an effort to mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates 3.5 million jobs," Schakowsky said in a statement.

"It’s despicable that right-wing Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant, honorable moment of American history with a shameful political stunt," she added. "Not a single American household or business will be taxed at a higher rate this year. Made to look like a grassroots uprising, this is an Obama bashing party promoted by corporate interests, as well as Republican lobbyists and politicians.”

This TEA Party was not organized or authorized by anyone other than the responsible people of this country who are sick and tired of know-it-alls like Jackoffsky bankrupting our children’s future! I didn’t receive any special email from Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity. I didn’t get a phone call from Newt Gingrich or some fortune 500 company exec explaining where I had to be and why. It just so happens that these 5,000 plus people in Phoenix did it because they wanted to! I know that's a foreign concept to these moronic representatives from Illinois that people protest without receiving a check from ACORN, but they need to pull their heads out of their collective asses and get on board with what the majority of people in this country want… Responsible spending! Hopefully in 2010 the voters of Illinois will have enough sense to dump this loser.

BTW: Did you see in the picture above that she is a member of the ‘Intelligence’ Committee? What an oxymoron! I think she’s had too many facelifts… If they pull that skin up any more, she’ll have a goatee!

Let me remind this loony lefty about something she obviously has no expertise in… The constitution.

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Who cares if this thing had been orchestrated by Limbaugh or Newt? The fact is we have a right to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. I’m sure she feels differently about the marches and protests organized by Cindy Sheehan, ACORN, or Al Sharpton. By the way Gravyskin, you can get a free copy of the constitution at The Heritage Foundation.

I have not heard any reports of groups trying to disrupt the activities, which is great! Now we can sit back and wait for the next big chance to send government our message of true hope and change… July 4th! See ya then!

Obama's redistribution of wealth comes full circle

by Al S. 23. March 2009 06:39

WASHINGTON — The Obama administration will call for increased oversight of executive pay at all banks, Wall Street firms and possibly other companies as part of a sweeping plan to overhaul financial regulation, government officials said.

The new rules will cover all financial institutions, including those not now covered by any pay rules because they are not receiving federal bailout money. Officials say the rules could also be applied more broadly to publicly traded companies, which already report about some executive pay practices to the Securities and Exchange Commission.

During the presidential campaign, Mr. Obama repeatedly urged regulators to adopt new rules to give shareholders a greater voice in setting executive pay for all public companies.

This should scare the heck out of every business owner and investor. The government wants to tell companies the minimum they can pay, and now the maximum they can pay! I believe its part 3 of a 4 part conspiracy:

1) Government can determine a minimum wage for workers. This has been in effect for years. Phase 1 complete.

2) This is the real conspiracy. Obama and his frat buddy Geithner knew all along these huge AIG bonuses would be going out (that is a fact, not the conspiracy). The conspiracy is that they wanted it to happen in order to fuel the most beloved of all liberal strategies... class envy. Just listen to the feigned outrage in NObama's voice as he is shocked and outraged that some people get huge bonuses. Of course the brainless masses get their pitchforks and torches and line up right behind him.

3) Now, to make the illusion of caring come full circle, congress knee-jerks a bill through that taxes this group of individuals at a 90% tax rate, even though its unconstitutional! Add to the the fact that Obama wants to set limits on executive pay at large companies all in the name of fairness. Publicly traded companies that have NO affiliation or financial obligation to the government (other than taxes) may have limits imposed on what they can pay.

4) If this latest round of Koolaid is consumed by the masses, the government will have a lock on the minimum and maximum that employers can pay. The next step is to now narrow that gap. Its the full circle of Obama's campaign promise to redistribute the wealth.

A full time minimum wager earns about $16,640. Lets say the government sets the upper limit to $400k. Now, in the name of fairness, it can be adjusted so that annual minimum wage is more like $35k and the upper will be shrunk to $300k. Then, since there are far more lower end underachievers than upper end payers, they will have no problem shrinking it even more... say $55k to $200K.

Let me point out one thing about how completely out of touch this administration is when it comes to free market tendencies: "adopt new rules to give shareholders a greater voice in setting executive pay for all public companies"... You don't need government rules, dummy! Shareholders voice their outrage by NOT INVESTING IN THAT COMPANY! If they decide to give bloated bonuses that cuts profit and dividends, investors walk... stock goes down, company loses money.

I keep reading on other boards that people want to give Obama a year and then lets rate how he is doing as President. To be honest, I don't think we can wait a year!
