Annick Goutal, the Luxury Fragrance Brand from Paris, Launches its Flagship Online Boutique
(PRWEB) July 16, 2007
Perfumery Annick Goutal’s long-awaited flagship online boutique launched June 25. This latest addition to Annick Goutal’s line of prestige boutiques boasts many remarkable features, making this venture a true leader in the online luxury goods market. The site offers multiple languages, multiple currencies and other cutting edge features, including advanced user recognition, a resolution responsive layout and content managed Flash.
Annick Goutal partnered with London-based design agency Neue Media, whose knowledge of translating high quality offline brands into the online arena set it apart from French agency rivals. The partnership allowed both parties to work toward making Annick Goutal as successful online as it is in its native France.
“True luxury isn’t about expensive photo shoots in glossy magazines. At the heart of Annick Goutal are exceptionally talented people using the finest materials to create unrivalled products. There is no substitution for this process in delivering true luxury,” said Rob Jenkins, creative director at Neue Media. “Annick Goutal takes great pride in what they do, but more importantly, they take a great deal of time to ensure their customers are getting the best fragrance for them.”
The secret to successfully launching a luxury online boutique lies in communication. “Annick Goutal’s fragrances are some of the finest in the world, and ensuring this message is not lost in the project process is paramount,” says Nic Aylett, head of production at Neue Media.
“Working with Neue Media has enabled us to utilise the full potential of our online presence by introducing a fully scalable multi-lingual, multi-currency website automated with our logistics and local payment processes,” said Rebecca Barouche, head of marketing at Annick Goutal.
Neue Media has harnessed the latest technologies to create an intuitive content rich experience, whilst ensuring security, logistics and cultural spending habits are addressed. The site even handles bank transfers, real-time transfers and direct debits for countries that do not commonly use credit cards.
“Our e-commerce and content management systems have been built from the ground up to handle cross border e-tailing and uniting the different shopping habits of different countries into one system,” said Andy Creed, technical director at Neue Media. The system not only allows different regions to be sold different products, but can adapt to different pricing and payment structures within each region too.
“The power of Neue Media’s ‘content management system’ and the intuitive functionality and design of the website will enable us to bring our online identity in line with our offline brand,” said project leader Gwennaelle Hemeury of Strategic Planning, Societe du Louvre. “Neue Media have introduced fresh and compelling ways to present our online product range, which will enable us to really connect with our users.”

About Annick Goutal
In 1985, Annick Goutal fragrances joined the prestigious Taittinger group and from this point on, the house’s perfumes have rubbed shoulders with Champagnes and Baccarat Crystal. With the support of Brigitte Taittinger-Warren, the brand expanded its presence both in France and abroad. Annick Goutal’s success has been spectacular, especially in the United States, where it has been ranked in the Top 5 since 1990 and is sold through specialised distribution outlets such as Saks and Neiman Marcus.
From 1996, a second wave of creations entered the scene to reinforce Annick Goutal’s unstoppable advancement. The new fragrances, as well as the conception of ambiance perfumes for the home, round off the Annick Goutal range.
Today, Isabelle Doyen and Camille Goutal are carrying on this tradition, placing no boundaries on their creativity, marrying together the nobility of raw materials with an alchemy of inspiration and creativity. For more information, visit http://www.annickgoutal.com/.
